"The firm did not arrive, said i booked it for a different time than was on my booking confirmation then told me they would get someone to me ASAP then when noone showed i rang again the main switchboard guy denied all knowledge of me calling and also was really rude to me by this point i had woken my dad up to take us as we were 30 minutes later than when we had wanted to leave. I then received a vall back from another man to see if i wanted to book another taxi and he said the man was in training. Which i found odd at 3am in the morning. Overall an awful service and not the kind of stress you need before going to the airport to catch a flight."

"a driver arrived in a Prius, with no awareness that I'd booked a car for 7. I had to speak to the control several times, and eventually another prius arrived, making us 30 mins late. The 2nd Prius smelled strongly of cigarettes, and the driver didn't seem to know where to go. For the return journey, again a car came that was too small. This driver went off to talk to the control, then came back and said he could do 2 journeys, but that this would cost extra. It was a terrible experience and we'll never use this company again. I want a refund. We ended up returning with a different taxi company."

"I'm not sure, but I was waiting for nearly 30 mins. Also, the route home was very odd, and certainly not the most direct - should have be a 15 mile/25 min journey from Luton to Berkhamsted, but came via Dunstable and Tring so it was more like 25 miles and 45 mins."

"We requested a child’s car seat and there wasn’t one despite the fact I also rang up the day before to double check they had the car seat. I was assured they did but then none arrived. We had to give the taxi driver our own car seat which they are currently holding for us until we book our return from holiday. The driver was lovely and helpful but I am disappointed with the company as it made the start of our holiday really stressful. "

"The whole experience was poor. We tried to cancel two weeks before but were told we would still have to pay 75% of the journey. We then wanted to move the taxi by half an hour earlier and were charged another £10. The taxi then arrived 20 mins late so we paid £10 for 10 minutes… We also received no communication about the taxi arriving late. I’ve never come across a taxi booking service so inflexible and profiteering."

"To start with the booking was not in the system, I had to call the call centre and they then traced it via an email or equivalent in the background. I then had to wait 45 mins post my departure time for an alternate vehicle. The vehicle sent was a Toyoto Hiace mini van - probably older than me and manufactured in the 70s!! It was not only old, but extremely dirty, filthy seats and a totally rickety ride. I was highly concerned about the safety of me and my family and felt that there was every probability of the van breaking down on the M25 to London. It was the most terrible experience and I do not recommend anyone using Berkhamstead taxis. A total waste of the 121 pounds that I had to pay for this journey. I should ideally be given a refund for this booking. "

"On the way there our driver was very surly, he said we weren't allowed to drink our G&T pre-made cans and when I asked him if he was picking us up after he just started saying what a nightmare picking up after a concert was and there was no way that he would ever do it. The car itself was pretty shabby and run down. That said, we were on time and he took a good route."

"For my return journey the taxi was not available at the specified time and upon calling I got confirmation that the taxi was still about 45 mins away. As I had to get back to work, I had to cancel the return fare which was paid for and take the train back to Hemel Hempstead. Furthermore, I was told that I would be refunded the return fare for the journey at least and haven't received any confirmation or communication in that regard."

"This was bordering on a fiasco. The taxi did not turn up until after we had to chase it down and finally arrived over 40 minutes late for a flight departure checkin. The cab co left me hanging on the phone for 10 minutes and only responded when my wife rang again on a separate line. The cab co then claimed the booking was for 4.45pm not 4.45am as booked and confirmed by taxicode.. It was just short of a total disaster. I will definitely never use you again."
