"To start with the booking was not in the system, I had to call the call centre and they then traced it via an email or equivalent in the background. I then had to wait 45 mins post my departure time for an alternate vehicle. The vehicle sent was a Toyoto Hiace mini van - probably older than me and manufactured in the 70s!! It was not only old, but extremely dirty, filthy seats and a totally rickety ride. I was highly concerned about the safety of me and my family and felt that there was every probability of the van breaking down on the M25 to London. It was the most terrible experience and I do not recommend anyone using Berkhamstead taxis. A total waste of the 121 pounds that I had to pay for this journey. I should ideally be given a refund for this booking. "

"On the way there our driver was very surly, he said we weren't allowed to drink our G&T pre-made cans and when I asked him if he was picking us up after he just started saying what a nightmare picking up after a concert was and there was no way that he would ever do it. The car itself was pretty shabby and run down. That said, we were on time and he took a good route."

"For my return journey the taxi was not available at the specified time and upon calling I got confirmation that the taxi was still about 45 mins away. As I had to get back to work, I had to cancel the return fare which was paid for and take the train back to Hemel Hempstead. Furthermore, I was told that I would be refunded the return fare for the journey at least and haven't received any confirmation or communication in that regard."

"This was bordering on a fiasco. The taxi did not turn up until after we had to chase it down and finally arrived over 40 minutes late for a flight departure checkin. The cab co left me hanging on the phone for 10 minutes and only responded when my wife rang again on a separate line. The cab co then claimed the booking was for 4.45pm not 4.45am as booked and confirmed by taxicode.. It was just short of a total disaster. I will definitely never use you again."
